Naloxone Now in 65+ Wichita Bars Thanks to Local Industry Initiative

Harm reduction belongs everywhere, including our local nightlife. The Industry Initiative Project, led by Certified Community Health Worker Morgan Jennings, set a goal to place Naloxone Bar Boxes in 50 Wichita venues by 2025.

That goal has already been exceeded, with more than 67 venues now equipped with naloxone, expanding access to life-saving resources across the city.

Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is a life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses. By placing it behind the bar, care is put directly into the hands of the community in moments where it matters most.

These venues are more than nightlife spaces. They are active sites of care, with trained staff and accessible naloxone ready to respond to overdoses and support community safety.

Safe Streets Wichita continues to partner with businesses across the city to expand access to free harm reduction supplies and life-saving resources, strengthening a network of care across Wichita.
