Safe Streets Wichita
We are a Black and Indigenous woman-led organization and coalition dedicated to fostering healthier, safer, and more connected communities across Wichita, Kansas. Our mission is to prevent substance misuse, reduce harm, and promote mental wellness through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to addressing critical public health issues, including youth substance misuse, overdose prevention, and suicide prevention. By using evidence-based strategies, engaging community members, and breaking down stigma, we aim to empower individuals and families to make healthier choices and thrive in supportive environments.
What We Do
Safe Streets Wichita, Inc. advances public health prevention by expanding access to naloxone, emergency contraception (EC), linkages to care, substance misuse prevention, and other life-saving tools. We connect individuals to vital resources, including recovery services, treatment programs, and comprehensive care, while advocating for public health policies and overdose prevention strategies. Our mission is to build healthier, more equitable communities.
